Brookfield is proudly an inclusive event and this year we will again by holding Disabled Rider classes in Friday’s district programme. These events cater for riders of varying abilities and thanks to our generous sponsor One Track Care, no rider goes home without a prize.

We are excited to announce Saturday’s new feature event, THE ELAINE COLQUHOUN MEMORIAL SMARTEST ON PARADE, which will be open to Small and Large Ponies, Galloways and Hacks. Elaine played a pivotal role in the running of the show since the 1960’s and was well known among the hacking fraternity, so it’s only fitting that this event be held in her honour. With prize money of 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100, 4th $75, 5th $50, 6th $25, plus rosettes and a perpetual trophy, we are hoping to attract many competitors to this prestigious event.

The highlight of Sunday’s programme will be the Megan MacNicol Supreme Showjumper. This is awarded to the individual horse / rider combination scoring the highest number of points over Saturday & Sunday’s jumping events, excluding unofficial and junior events. The winning combination receives $750, plus a gift voucher to the value of $500 donated by Robert White Jewellers.

Many thanks to ongoing volunteer Horses Chief Steward, Julie Jelley and her volunteer team backing her. Your work is outstanding.

We look forward to running this year’s show under blue skies and to welcoming competitors, old and new!
