Competitions are up and running!

Competitions are a mainstay of the Brookfield Show and this year we have traditional, much loved ones such as Horses and Woodwork, through to an exciting new one in the form of Lego through Brick Events.

Volunteer stewards are busy finalising their schedules (competition details) with two ready and set to go!

Cookery, for adults and children alike, is online here: https://www.brookfieldshow.com.au/index.php/cookery/

This year the Featured Section is “Coffee“, proudly supported by Savages Coffee.

“Set Recipes” are also back and in 2023 there is the Marble Cake and Tomato Relish for you to try your hand at.

A warm welcome to our new Children’s Cookery Steward, Louisa Harvey who has created a new children’s category of “Grandma’s Favourite Cake”.

Many thanks to continuing Chief Cookery Steward Noeleen McNamara and her band of volunteers.

If you’re more a green thumb, why not enter the Horticulture competition?

If your hidden talent is arranging flowers, there are six quirky Floral Art themes this year, from Storytime, to Curled and Furled and more.

There are endless categories for the adults and for the children, there are the fun ones, such as the vegetable/fruit snake or unicorn or bird & nest.

We thank our ongoing Horticulture Chief Steward volunteer extraordinaire, Lorrie Maher and her team backing her.
